None really exist.
There is Vineyard Estates which is often found in Loblaws stores, and doesn’t have much selection. Kittling Ridge has one store in Toronto, but they just sell the products that they produce (they have a few wines, and also make the excellent Forty Creek whiskey). Same goes for Magnotta in North York, which also sells self produced wines.
I believe that the LCBO is the only choice if you want anything non-domestic.
Have you been to the LCBO store at Summerhill? They have the largest selection out of any LCBO that I’ve ever been to.
Hi John, take a look at this website. they are on Ossington and might be waht you are looking for .

thanks Faye
Woah Faye that’s a great site, thanks!
Yes, Wine Online is great … and the only option I’ve found other than the (sometimes good, always frustrating) LCBO. The problem is you can only buy by the case. I am always happy to split cases with people if there is something interesting on offer.

Wine Online should develop some social features where people can make arrangement to split cases… until then, Mark, see something you want to split?
My previous job was as web guy for Lifford Wine Agency (www.liffordwine.com) who have an excellent portfolio of wines, many of which are not available at the LCBO. They’re the biggest consignment agent seller of wines to the restaurants of Ontario. You still have to buy by the case, but they have an excellent weekly email newsletter (which I still help send out) with links to a tasting video by a dedicated consumer sales guy. Huge portfolio from Canada, US, France, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, South Africa, Chile, etc.
Best part is their annual Grand Tasting, which is being held May 7 at the Eglinton Grand Theatre in Toronto. Tickets are $125 but you can try any wine in the portfolio. I’m very proud of this event as I helped organize it the past four years. I’m even taking a day off from my new job to pour wine this year. They have about 35 winemakers coming especially to pour and talk about their wines, too.

The laws are funny about that. When I wanted to do something similar at Lifford, I was told it was actually illegal for us to help people split cases. Sadly, selling booze is still seen by our government as something sort of shameful.
